Data Deletion Process
For Merchant Users (Shopify Store Owners)
- Uninstalling the App:
- When you uninstall our app from your Shopify store, we will automatically receive a notification.
- Upon receiving an uninstall notification, we initiate our data deletion process for your store data.
- Manual Deletion Request:
- You may also request data deletion by contacting us directly at hello@durvasainfotech.com
- Please include your Shopify store URL in your request for faster processing.
- GDPR/CCPA Requests:
- For formal GDPR or CCPA deletion requests, please email hello@durvasainfotech.com.
What We Delete
When a deletion request is processed, we will:
- Delete all Instagram authentication tokens associated with your store
- Remove all cached Instagram media content
- Delete store-specific settings and configurations
- Remove all usage analytics associated with your store
- Delete user account information from our databases
Retention Period
After receiving a deletion request (either via app uninstallation or direct request):
- Your data will be marked for deletion within 48 hours
- All data will be permanently deleted from our active systems within 30 days
- Backup systems may retain your data for up to 90 days
Exceptions
Certain information may be retained even after a deletion request:
- Data required for legal compliance or legitimate business purposes
- Anonymized aggregate data that cannot be used to identify you
- Information necessary for detecting security incidents and protecting against fraud
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Data Deletion Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The updated policy will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.
